The World Leader in Beryllium Copper

NGK Metals Corporation, and the global metals business of NGK Insulators, is the world’s leading manufacturer of beryllium containing alloys.  It is the first integrated copper alloy producer to earn the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 certification and we have also achieved ISO 14001:2004 certification.

Berylco® alloys are found in critical applications ranging from miniature electronic connectors to aircraft bushings to oil field drill tooling and non-sparking tools. Reliability is the foundation of our material and our business.

Berylco products are engineered to:

  • Offer the best combination of strength, ductility and conductivity
  • Sustain performance at higher temperatures
  • Excel in platability and solderability
  • Reduce wear

BERYLCO® PLUS, SUPRA, and ULTRA Products are recognized as excellent mold alloys for the plastic industry as injection molds and tooling for blow molds. They are known to produce superior quality plastic parts with minimum total production costs over other competing mold materials. This is due to its optimum combination of hardness, wear resistance, thermal fatigue, and thermal conductivity.

Our nonsparking Berylco Safety Tools provide excellent protection against fires and explosions in environments where flammable solvents, fuels, materials, gasses, and residues are present. While many nonferrous alloys meet nonsparking standards, only beryllium copper has the superior strength and hardness not found in safety tools made from aluminum, bronze, and brass. The nonmagnetic and corrosion-resistant properties of our tools are well suited for industrial and high technology applications.

Our tools are precisely forged, cast, formed, machined, and hardened to strength levels that cannot be achieved in tools made from aluminum, bronze, or brass. As a result, Berylco Safety Tools provide maximum torque and shear strength plus exceptional wear-resistance.

Improve profitability of die casting with beryllium copper chill-vents.

Electronics and circuit boards

 Miniaturized Electronics.

The continual concentration of power and elegance into smaller electronic packages has always called for beryllium copper. The unmatched strength, conductivity and stability is what keeps ever-smaller devices doing more every year. Berylco Alloys like C17200 continue to gain greater popularity as great stress is placed on smaller components. C17510 also helps to conduct the power where it is needed while helping to manage the buildup of heat.

An Argument for Copper Conductivity

When looking for mold material with efficient heat conduction, moldmakers may do well to keep copper beryllium in mind. (MoldMaking Technology, March 2002)
